Possible cause: The integrated crash sensor interrupts gas flow after a deceleration event (3.5g +/- 0.5g) to prevent uncontrolled gas release.. Give the high-pressure hose's hose-rupture-protection (the green button) a firm press. Where needed, hold its green reset button down for roughly 5 seconds, then ease off slowly to complete the MonoControl CS crash-sensor's reset. Advance/Alliance models don't have this regulator at all - just open the cylinder's gas valve on those.

Smell of gas / suspected gas leak

Possible cause: Gas leak from a pipe joint, unlit appliance, or damaged component.. Cut the gas at the cylinder without delay (Autograph models: use the yellow isolation tap below the regulator instead). Put out every naked flame and other ignition source. Leave electrical switches alone. Make sure an unlit appliance isn't the source of the escape. Open every door and window to let the gas clear. Check pipe joints with a washing-up-liquid solution (never a naked flame for this). Evacuate if it's happening inside. Where the leak won't stop, take the cylinder somewhere safe and open, standing upright, well away from drains and anything that could ignite it, and get a competent service engineer on the phone.

Taps feel too stiff to turn, or seem to be where a leak is coming from

Possible cause: Lack of lubrication or worn tap seals requiring specialist attention.. This needs a call to a specialist installer, who'll service the LPG taps with the correct special grease.
