Line the wheel up so you can see the receiver through the middle of the rim opening - just avoid the opening that has the tyre valve in it. Take the plastic cap off the receiver and keep it in your tool kit. Slot the locking bolt into its rim-specific fitting, fit the socket key over it, and get everything lined up with the receiver before tightening it down to the correct wheel torque using either the supplied spanner or a torque wrench.

Once that's done, take the socket key back off, drop the barrel lock in, and turn the key to lock everything in place - your wheel is now secured. If you've got a tandem-axle caravan, a side-lift jack makes the whole job easier.
