Technical documentation for the AL-KO Secure wheel lock, a receiver-mounted anti-theft device fitted to AL-KO caravan chassis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I fit the AL-KO Secure wheel lock?

Turn the wheel so the receiver sits in the middle of the rim opening, well away from where the tyre valve comes through. Unscrew the plastic cap off the receiver and put it in the tool kit box for safekeeping. Fit the locking bolt into the insert made for that rim, then attach the locking bolt socket key. Align the assembly and locking bolts with the receiver, then use the wheel spanner supplied (or a torque wrench) to do the locking bolt socket up to the correct wheel torque.

Take the socket key off, fit the barrel lock, hold it firmly and turn the key - that's the AL-KO Secure fitted. For a tandem-axle caravan, a side-lift jack makes the job easier.
