Possible cause: Water isn't reaching the pump - could be an empty tank, a blocked filter, an air leak somewhere in the pipework, or a valve lever out of adjustment.. Confirm the tank has water and the filter isn't clogged. Take each valve lever off, snug up the nut sitting beneath it, then refit the lever. Make sure every connection between the tank and pump inlet is tight - a good way to test for an air leak is holding the showerhead underwater while the pump runs; bubbles give it away.

Possible cause: The pump is drawing air, is not secured to a solid surface, or the pipework is not securely supported.. If the pump is drawing in air, treat it the same way as when water isn't reaching the pump at all (check the tank has water, the filter isn't clogged and every connection between the tank and the pump inlet is tight). Otherwise, confirm the pump is fixed to a solid surface, isn't touching anything hard, sits clear of anything that could interfere, and that its pipework is properly supported.

Possible cause: Pipework/connections too small or crushed by over-tightened jubilee clips, a discharged battery, a clogged pump internal filter, or water leaking at the pump outlet.. If the pump's internal filter is clogged, remove the fitting connected to the pump inlet, use point-nosed pliers to remove the cylindrical filter mesh, clean and refit.
