Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I drain the Truma Therme for winter storage?

Disconnect the water pump, open water valves in the kitchen/bathroom, and open the drain and vent valves completely to let the water empty out.

Q: Can the Truma Therme be operated without water?

No, the Therme must never be operated with electricity without water.

Q: What is the maximum operating pressure allowed for the Therme?

The Therme is meant to run unpressurised. If you connect it to a mains water supply or a more powerful pump, you must fit a pressure reducer that keeps it at or below 1.2 bar, together with a safety/drain valve.

Q: How should the Therme be filled with water?

Close the drain and vent valves completely by turning them, set the hot water tap to 'warm' (or the control knob to the red symbol in pre-mixing systems), and leave the tap open until all air is expelled from the Therme and water flows out of the taps.

Q: What should I do if there is a risk of frost?

Disconnect the power supply to the water pump, drain the water tank or remove the pump from the tank, open all water taps to 'warm', and open the drain and vent valves completely to empty the Therme entirely.
