Master Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Matrix

Error Code / IndicatorSymptom / MeaningPossible CauseStep-by-Step DIY FixSuggested Actions
Manoeuvring system not working
Power supply issue or defective fuse.
—
Check the power supply - the control unit's green LED should be lit. If the fuse in the battery cable has failed, replace it with a genuine Truma spare (part no. 60040-00169) only. Cut the power for at least 20 seconds, then reconnect.
DIY Safe
The manoeuvring system isn't working, and the control unit's red LED is flashing
Control unit is overheated.
—
Cut the power using the battery cut-off switch, remove the key, and let the control unit cool for at least 20 minutes before restarting.
DIY Safe
The manoeuvring system isn't responding to the remote control, or only responds intermittently
Remote control battery charge is too low or Mover system battery is low.
—
If symbols are flashing, check and replace the remote control's batteries; if the control unit's green LED is flashing, check, charge, or replace the caravan battery instead.
DIY Safe
Drive roller sliding off tyre
Incorrect tyre pressure, worn tyre tread, or incorrect gap between roller and tyre.
—
Check and adjust the tyre pressure, check the tread and replace tyres if needed, then disengage the system and confirm the gap measures 20mm.
DIY Safe
Maneuvering system does not work
Either a power supply issue, or a failed fuse in the battery cable.
The control unit is overheated.
—
Cut the power using the battery isolation switch and remove the key. Let the control unit cool for at least 20 minutes before restarting.
DIY Safe
Maneuvering system does not respond or reacts intermittently to remote control
Either the remote control's battery is low, or the manoeuvring system's battery is weak (shown by the control unit's green LED flashing).
—
Check/replace the remote control batteries. Check the maneuvering system battery, recharge or replace if necessary.
DIY Safe
Drive roller slips over the tire
Incorrect tire pressure, worn tire tread, or incorrect distance between tire and drive roller.
—
Check and adjust tire pressure, check tire profile and replace if needed, and verify that the distance between the tire and drive roller is exactly 20 mm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the maximum weight and gradient the Mover SX can handle?

The Mover SX is built for single-axle caravans up to 2000kg gross weight. It can climb up to 13% at 2000kg, or up to 25% at 1200kg.

Q: Can I use a battery charger as the power source for the manoeuvring system?

No - running the manoeuvring system off a charger is neither possible nor allowed. It needs a charged 12V battery.

Q: How far should the drive rollers sit from the tyres?

With the system disengaged, the drive rollers should sit 20 ± 1mm from the tyres - check it with the supplied 20mm spacer plate.

Q: How do I pair the remote control with the control unit?

Make sure the drive rollers are disengaged, confirm 12V is present and the caravan plug is in the safety socket, then switch off the remote. Power on, wait for the control unit's red LED to flash slowly, hold its reset button until the LED flashes rapidly, turn the control knob fully left, push the slide control fully forward, switch the remote on at the same time, then release everything within 10 seconds.
