Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can this boiler be installed in boats?

No - this standard model isn't approved for boats. Truma sells a dedicated DVGW-tested marine water heater for that.

Q: Can the water heater run with no water in the tank?

No - never run the water heater dry. A brief check of the electrical function with no water in it is fine, though.

Q: What type of water pumps can be used with this boiler?

Any pressure or submersible pump up to 2.8 bar can be used. With a submersible pump, fit a non-return valve after the pump, before the first branch.
