Fit the batteries so the Setup symbol (the spanner icon) flashes on screen. Point the remote at the IR receiver and hold the Setup (spanner) button down. Once the IR receiver's red LED starts flashing (or you hear a beep, on Saphir comfort units), let go of the Setup button.
Q: What happens to my settings if I press the Reset button?
Every setting is wiped, and the remote has to be re-paired with the air conditioning system from scratch using the Setup button.
