No 230V output from the PSU - the lead connecting site to vehicle isn't plugged in.
The lead connecting the site to the vehicle isn't plugged in.
Check and plug in the lead - see the 230V mains connection and safety-checks section, part C.

No 230-volt output from PSU: RCD switched off
RCD switched off
Reset the RCD following the steps in the 230V mains connection and safety-checks section, part D.
DIY Safe
N/A
No 230-volt output from PSU: RCD not operating correctly
Equipment or wiring fault
Check the supply polarity - if the RCD still won't reset, contact your dealer, since it's likely an equipment or wiring fault.

N/A
No 230-volt output from PSU: MCB switched off
MCB tripped or switched off
Reset the MCB by switching it OFF (down) then back ON (up); if it keeps tripping, contact your dealer, since it's likely an equipment or wiring fault.
DIY Check / Tech Fallback
N/A
No 230V output from the PSU because the site's own supply is missing or inadequate.
Site supply issue
Contact site Warden for assistance.
Professional Intervention Required
N/A
No 230-volt output from PSU: Another fault
Unspecified fault
Contact your Dealer.

The PSU's reverse polarity light is on because the mains supply is reversed.
The live and neutral supply have been swapped or crossed over.
The reverse-polarity light comes on if the live and neutral feeds have been swapped over. That usually points to a problem with the site's supply or the cable connecting it to your vehicle. Because the light assumes a UK-style supply (neutral earthed at the substation), it can light up with no actual fault when used abroad - if that happens, ask the site warden for advice.
Professional Intervention Required
N/A
The control panel shows no display at all.
Power or connection issue
Check the batteries and fuses, and confirm the PSU isolate switch, charger switch, and mains supply are all on. Check the cable connecting the control panel to the PSU. If that doesn't help, contact your dealer.

12V Power turns off
Battery protect feature operated, over voltage protection activated, or engine started
The battery protect feature has stepped in to protect the vehicle and/or leisure battery (see the Leisure Battery guide, section C). Alternatively, over-voltage protection may have triggered, which the control panel will show as a warning - most often caused by the solar panel, so check the regulator's connections and settings. Or, the engine has started and everything's been disconnected automatically to meet EMC rules (see 'Operation while driving').
DIY Safe
N/A
Control Panel locked / erratic function
Handling instruction issue or control panel software crash
Follow the control panel's own handling instructions - its software may have crashed. Reboot it by switching off the PSU isolate switch, waiting 30 seconds, then switch it on once more. Check with your dealer whether a software update is available.
DIY Check / Tech Fallback
N/A
No 12-volt output from PSU
No 230V supply, charger off, battery not connected, power button off, flat battery, blown fuse, equipment switched off
If there's no 230V supply, work through each of the following: is the charger switched on (it should light up when it is)? Is a charged battery actually connected? Is the control panel's power button switched on? Check whether the battery is flat or its fuse has blown (recharge/check fuses/check voltage reaches the battery). Confirm every fuse is present, intact, and correctly rated. Make sure equipment is powered on and plugged into the 12V supply. If none of that resolves it, contact your dealer.
DIY Check / Tech Fallback
N/A
Leisure battery voltage low warning on control panel
Control panel power on, leisure battery selected as the active battery, and voltage level falls below 10V.
A message appears on screen along with a 60-second audible beep.
DIY Safe
N/A
Leisure battery voltage very low warning on control panel
Control panel power on, leisure battery selected as the active battery, and voltage level below 9V.
A message appears on screen with a 60-second audible beep. If nothing's done within 30 seconds, the system cuts the power to stop the battery discharging too severely - this is an emergency cut-off, so under normal use keep the battery at 11.5V or above. It only covers leisure equipment controlled by the control panel's power switch, not equipment that's permanently connected.
DIY Safe
N/A
Leisure battery voltage high warning on control panel
The control panel's power is on or off, the leisure battery is currently the active one selected, and its voltage has climbed above 15V.
A message appears on screen, and the control panel beeps repeatedly while the power switches off automatically - the beeping continues until the fault clears.
DIY Safe
N/A
Vehicle battery voltage warning on control panel
The same low/very low/high voltage conditions as the leisure battery warnings above, but for the vehicle battery when it's the one selected - its low-warning threshold is 10.9V.
Same on-screen message and audible beep behaviour as the leisure battery voltage warnings.
DIY Safe
N/A
Engine running message on control panel
The engine is started, so the system power is turned off.
A message appears on screen reading 'engine running'.
DIY Safe
N/A
Mains lead (hook-up cable) still connected/plugged in warning on control panel
The engine's been started with the mains cable left plugged in and the charger still switched on.
A message appears on screen, and the control panel beeps repeatedly until the hook-up lead is unplugged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I set the correct battery type on the PX310 battery charger?

With the charger powered on, hold OK down for 3 seconds - this opens Setup Mode and the battery-type display starts flashing. Use the right arrow button to change it, then confirm with OK.

Q: How do I activate or deactivate the Silent Mode on the PX310 battery charger?

While charging, hold the button for 3 seconds to switch Silent Mode on, and press it again to switch it back off. Silent Mode also switches itself off if the charger is turned off and back on, or automatically after 12 hours.

Q: Which fuse or MCB protects which circuit, and what rating should I use to replace one?

MCB (230V mains) allocation: MCB 1 (10A) - 230V Sockets, Oven Hotplate/Microwave (optional); MCB 2 (16A) - Heating System, Extra 230V Sockets (optional); MCB 3 (10A) - Fridge, Battery Charger, Auxiliary Devices (optional). 12V DC fuse allocation: Fuse 1 (25A) - main supply; Fuse 2 (7.5A) - Fridge Control/Alarm; Fuse 3 (10A) - 12V & USB Sockets/TV Amp/Caravan Radio; Fuse 4 (10A) - Extractor Fans/Heating; Fuse 5 (10A) - Appliances/Cooker/Toilet/USB; Fuse 6 (10A) - Water Pumps/Motorhome Tank Heaters; Fuse 7 (10A) - Lighting (Main & Rear High Lights); Fuse 8 (10A) - Lighting (Entry & Front High Lights); Fuse 9 (10A) - Motorhome Marker Lights/En Route Heating; Fuse 10 (10A) - Awning Light/Motorhome Electric Step; Fuse 11 (15A) - Motorhome Fridge 12V; Fuse 12 (20A) - Motorhome Towing 12V; Fuse 13 (15A) - Motorhome Fridge D+/Battery Charger (spare).

Fuses 11-13 are only fitted to motorhomes. Always replace a blown fuse or reset an MCB with one of the same rating for that circuit - for full details, see the fuse/MCB label fitted to your vehicle.
