Hobby Water System

Make sure the caravan is level and the water tap is shut off. Unlock the filler cap with its key, then give the blue cap a firm turn anti-clockwise to remove it. Fill up through the fresh-water filler neck (the one marked with a blue cap and a water-tap symbol). Turn the tap on and let it run until the water comes out bubble-free, then shut it off again. Refit the blue cap, turn it clockwise, and lock it back up with the key.

Cut the power to the water pump, set the tap to its centre position, undo the cap on the fresh water tank's cleaning port, then unscrew and take out the tank's overflow pipe. Take the pump out and keep it raised so the pipework can fully drain. Confirm the tank, taps and pipes are completely empty (compressed air at up to 0.5 bar can help if needed), give the tank a clean and rinse, leave the taps open, and let everything dry out for as long as you reasonably can.
