Open the Thetford door and lift the holding bar to take the waste tank out, then slide it clear while keeping it level, tip it slightly, and pull it free completely. Stand it upright, turn the drain nozzle to face upward, add the right amount of toilet fluid, then top up with enough water to cover the tank's base. Turn the drain nozzle back to its resting position, slide the tank back in, check the holding bar has secured it, and shut the service flap.

Carry the waste tank to a proper disposal site, stand it upright, turn the spout upward and take its cap off, then hold the tank so the spout points down. Keep your thumb pressed on the ventilation button until it's fully drained, rinse it through once with about 5 litres of fresh water, then screw the cap back onto the emptying support before sliding the tank back into its storage position until the holding bar locks it in place.
