Separate the two tank sections, then take the cap off the pour-out spout while it's facing upward. Add the correct dose of waste-tank toilet additive, followed by enough water to cover the base of the tank, then put the cap back on.

Recombine the two tank sections, take off the water fill cap, fit the water fill adaptor, then add the right dose of flush-tank toilet additive (if you're using one) along with clean water, before refitting the cap.
