The water pump keeps kicking in for brief bursts every so often
Pressure is being lost somewhere through a leak
Trace the pipework right through, checking every joint for weeping water and looking for any sign of a split pipe. A loose joint is often fixable by tightening it up or pushing the pipe properly home into its Quicklift fitting, then keeping an eye on it to see if that's cured the leak. If instead you find a genuinely burst pipe or a damaged tap or shower, your nearest Motorhome dealer is the best point of contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I drain down my motorhome water system?

Start by disconnecting the water pump and cutting its power supply. Next, open the water heater's own safety drain valve, found right beside the heater itself. Open every tap in the vehicle and pull all the plugs from sinks and showers - any lever-style taps should have their lever pushed up into the central position. Then, on the outside of the vehicle, open the two drain outlets - one blue, one grey.

Finally, tilt or adjust the motorhome so its drain outlet ends up as low as it can go, letting everything empty out fully.

Q: How do I winterize the Alde water system?

First switch off the freshwater pump along with the Alde heating system. Open every water tap, including the shower, and set each one to its mid-point between hot and cold, then rest the shower head down in the shower tray itself. Find the yellow drain valve(s), usually close to the Alde boiler, and move the lever to vertical to open them - you should see water starting to drain out from underneath the vehicle.

Leave both the taps and the drain valves open until you're ready to use the system again, and make sure the LPG supply is switched off throughout.
