N/A
Fan control does not respond or emit a single beep to remote commands
Command not received by the fan control, remote in standby mode, or depleted batteries
Wake the remote from standby by pressing any of its buttons, check/replace its 2 AA batteries, or make sure it has a clear line of sight and is close enough to the unit.

N/A
Fan motor does not start when switched on
Cover hood is not sufficiently open (safety switch active), blown fuse, or 12 V power supply interrupted
Make sure the cover hood is fully open (or open at least 5cm/2in for thermostat/automatic operation, 10cm for model 2250). Check and replace the 4A fuse behind the black cap, and confirm there's a 12V DC supply.
DIY Safe
N/A
Cover hood is stuck and will not open
Seal has dried up due to warm weather causing the cover hood to stick
Open the cover hood fully, clean the underside with methylated spirits or solvent, apply a water-based protectant (e.g. 303 Protectant), let it dry, buff with a soft cloth, then run an even bead of silicone along the seal - replace the seal if it's damaged.
