Bailey AL-KO AKS Stabiliser, Chassis & Braking System

(2012 Model Year, Olympus)

Sourced from Bailey's 2012 model year owner's manual for the Olympus range. If your caravan is a different age or range, some details — such as the exact control panel brand or chassis-component generation actually fitted — may not match. Always cross-check against the handbook that came with your specific caravan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I fit the AL-KO Secure wheel lock to my caravan?ⓘ

First, line the wheel up so you can see the receiver through the centre of the rim - never use the opening where the tyre valve sits. Unwind the plastic cap covering the receiver and pop it in your toolkit for safekeeping (put it straight back on whenever the lock isn't fitted). Slot the locking bolt into its rim-specific insert, then fit the socket key onto it, and bring the whole locking-bolt assembly up level with the receiver.

Using the wheel spanner supplied (a torque wrench works too), tighten the locking bolt socket down to the correct wheel torque - around 86 Nm - then take the socket key back off. Finally, push the barrel lock into place, and hold everything firm while you turn the key to lock it - at that point the AL-KO Secure is properly fitted.

Note this was an optional-extra fitting on some editions, so check whether your caravan actually has it before following these steps.
